Hey there! My name is Charles and I’m finishing up my master’s in clinical mental health counseling from St. Cloud State University. Understanding and connecting with people has been my passion for as long as I can remember. That passion extends to more than just the therapy office as I’ve always been a fan of good stories in books and gaming. Any narrative that grants insight into people’s deeper self is one worth exploring.

I’m a gamer, but not just video games. I’ve played table top role playing games since high school and have found ways to incorporate those concepts into the therapeutic space. Not to say that I use dungeons and dragons with every client, but that we will draw from metaphors and connections you have in your own life as a foundation from which to build on.

I am a staunch advocate for cultural competency and growing our understanding of people who come from different backgrounds. I love learning languages and connecting the meaning of words to our understanding of the world. I strive to foster a culture of safety in my office whatever background a client has experienced they are welcome in safe community with me.
