Malinda (she/her) believes that everyone has the potential to experience emotional healing. With empathy, compassion, and understanding, Malinda helps clients create awareness and find meaning within internal distress, which brings about a different understanding of the experience of emotions. Malinda believes that all emotions are our body’s way of communicating with us, providing information to us about our experience and our needs; we just need to learn how to listen and understand. Often our current experiences are being influenced by past unresolved pain and hurt which makes it difficult to move forward in life. By exploring the root cause of our emotional experience and acknowledging, witnessing, and loving on the pain of the past, emotional healing can occur. Malinda knows this is a difficult journey to do alone and is deeply passionate about joining clients on their journey. Malinda is skilled in supporting people struggling with trauma, attachment wounds, anxiety, self-doubt, self-esteem, and self-trust. She is trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Adaptive Internal Relational (AIR) Network model for trauma.  Malinda enjoys focusing on attachment wounds, codependency, improving relationship with self, perfectionism, and shame in the therapy setting.  She is also deeply passionate about helping clients reconnect with their own internal compass or intuition to help them feel equipped to live a life that feels most aligned for them and bring their authentic selves into their lives and relationships with others.

About Me:

I deeply value authentic interactions. I personally have deep feelings and complex thoughts about the meaning of life, our purpose, and why we are the way we are and love engaging in conversations about these topics. I love being warm and whenever the sun is out, I try to be in it.  I love exploring nature and especially have a love affair for the ocean and waterfalls.  My sense of spirituality is important to me and I look for signs and ways to connect with the divine daily.  My personal inner work is also a passion of mine that I engage in frequently in a variety of ways. It is my hearts desire to be a conscious, regulated, healing presence on this earth. Some days I’m better at it then others but I believe life is about learning and progressing instead of perfection. As a line from a song I love says “I’m perfectly imperfect and I’m only here to learn.” When I am not doing these things, I enjoy cuddling with my dog while watching Netflix, trying out new recipes, or grabbing a beer with a friend at a craft brewery.
