I draw from person-centered therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, strengths-based approaches, and body- based awareness. I am especially interested in helping clients understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, relationships, and nervous system responses.

Hi, I’m Allen.

My background has given me an interest in both individual healing and the larger systems, relationships, and life experiences that shape how people understand themselves. My approach to counseling is grounded, collaborative, and trauma-informed. I believe people often come to therapy carrying more than just a problem to fix. They may be carrying grief, stress, trauma, shame, relationship pain, major life transitions, or patterns they have been trying to understand for a long time. My goal is to create a space where clients feel heard and respected while also building practical tools for change.

I am especially interested in trauma, grief, emotional regulation, anxiety, depression, men’s mental health, relationship concerns, and personal growth. I also have training in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, which informs my interest in how the body and nervous system respond to stress, trauma, and emotion. I value helping clients build insight, reconnect with themselves, and develop a greater sense of choice in how they move through life.

Outside of counseling, I enjoy music, playing guitar, writing, being outdoors, riding motorcycles, and meaningful conversations. I try to bring warmth, curiosity, and honesty into my work, while creating space for clients to show up as they are. I believe counseling can be deeply personal while also being practical, human, and useful.
