Sarah Cushing (she/her), BA, Psychotherapist
Location: Andover
Specialties: Anxiety, Depression, Life Transitions, Healthy Relationships/Relationship Difficulties, Self-Esteem & Self-Compassion, Interpersonal Difficulties, LGBTQIA+, Grief & Loss
Client Focus: Young Adults, Adults, LGBTQIA+
Treatment Approach: My work is grounded in a client-centered approach of building trust, meeting you where you are, and showing up with honesty and empathy. My style is flexible and integrative, pulling from different approaches depending on what feels most useful for you. I’m especially drawn to exploring the stories that shape us, the ways they influence our sense of self and possibility, while also recognizing that there are many things we don’t get to choose. For me, therapy is about holding both truths: the hard realities we can’t change and the hope of what is still possible.
Availability: Wednesdays, Thursdays, & Fridays (afternoons/evenings). Email for availability
About Me:
My passion for this work is deeply personal. I often tell people that “therapy saved my life,” and while it’s not quite that simple, the sentiment holds true. Therapy was the place where I was finally able to get honest, explore some painful realities, and figure out how I wanted to move forward. I believe therapy offers an invitation to anyone who is struggling, a reminder that you are not alone - there is space for you here. I work hard to show up as my authentic self in the therapy space and invite you to do the same. I look forward to meeting you and exploring together what healing and growth can look like for you.
